I came across the video below on Paul Kedrosky’s Infectious Greed Blog. The speaker, Steven Johnson, a writer, gives an early shoutout to Matt Ridley and his book The Rational Optimist in which Ridley writes of “ideas having sex.” Johnson also speaks about concepts that appeared in this weekend’s Wall Street Journal, and I had planned to write a post on that WSJ article, but it’s probably better to see it for yourself.
